Happy New Years....

Well , News Years Eve is upon us...I have a sitter booked, my handsome husband lined up, reservations made, champagne chilling, my little black dress ready .

I have my 2010 list written...

Out with the Old and in with the New...I am so excited to ring in 2010..I have a feeling this is going to be a wonderful year!! Wishing everyone a fabulous 2010 have fun tonight..don't drink and drive... relax and rejuvenate tomorrow...and may the diets start Monday!

New Years Count Down

Well just a few more days and we will be ringing in a New Year...I don't know about you guys but I always look forward to this time of year...The promise of new goals and resolutions ...I usually always write a list of things that I would like to accomplish,then I tuck them away. I am often quiet surprised when I pull the list out and find that I have ticked off a few of the things ...

You know weight and healthy living is on there every year.....every year...It is one of those goals I always struggle with... but I am going to put it on there again this year... You never know 2010 just may be the year I lose that 15 pounds...haha

Tony starts his new job on January the 11th...and I am thrilled beyond words for him.

My happy little store is reopened and I am delighted to bits . I am looking forward to NYC Gift show at the end of January.There is always so many great things to choice from I am going to take my time and take it all in. I Also want to thank all of my sweet customers and suppliers that have popped in this month to say Hi, share a laugh, and pass on well wishes .

I am truly grateful for all your support...I really guess it is you guys that make my job so so charming...Thank you all a million times over!

An office space

This is my wee office in the front of the store as of now...notice there is a lot missing...like my Mac laptop. But I do have my ghost chair...happy! I will more then likely in time have to move this to the storage room in the back of the store and it sort of got me thinking what would I like to have back there....


I know I have posted this picture again...but I love this little office space... especially the laptop!

I love this little spot that is neatly tucked into a closet!The aqua blue is so fitting , as it is the color of my bird in my labels , signage etc...Loving the market shelving for a printer and a basket for files..

I am saving my pennies for a Mac laptop...I have only waited for for years and years and then some more years...and I am so so close to getting one ...I can hardly wait maybe in the next few weeks you can come in and visit me and my new computer... I know that are not overly expensive..but there is always something else for CeCe or the house that is more pressing...and there is always a bill for something unexpected that seems to arrive just when I have all my pennies lined up... So fingers crossed 2010...I may be blogging right from the store!

Hello All...

Merry Christmas...Hope you are enjoying a wonderful time with your family and friends.

It has been an insanely busy time ...but I am sure all of you feel the same way. The last minute rushing out for gifts and groceries, the line ups , the wrapping, the late nights, and best of all the eating and drinking...I think I am writing this to you after I have just awoken from a turkey coma...My Sister in law cooked a massive seafood dinner last night , and my mom cooked a traditional Jiggs dinner for my family today. We had great laughs and both homes and CeCe was just delighted by it all...although last night we where losing her a little at the end of the evening to much sugar, and no sleep..but she awoke this morning to the awe of Santa and played all day with her new dolly's and cloths.. There is something so darling watching Christmas through the eyes of young ones..Wishing you and your families a wonderful Christmas and an even better New year.

OK...This is a little here and there of Christmas...Just a few pictures I saved and thought you may like to look at for inspiration..I am stupid busy..It is Tony's Birthday Tomorrow...I will write more about this great man later..Hope you are enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holidays .It is so hard to believe that it will all be over with in a few short days...Gosh...I really think time does fly...Where did this month go?

A Cute and Simple Project!

What a cute and simple project....just a few cupcake holders , some tape and viola... a sweet Christmas tree display!

Seriously one week ....one week...seven days...yipes!

So..it is another freezing freezing day here... I would love nothing more then to curl up in this very room with some roasted chestnuts and little something warm to drink. I would love a peppermint schnapps hot coco...maybe several drinks...as I am a little freaking out over the amount of work I have to do this weekend...yipes!

I am thinking I need to pick up some boxwood and red pepper berries to put over some of my pictures ...I have done this for years and it just makes the room so festive...My Sister in Law often jokes with me in July...when I have not taken them down...I guess they dry up so nice I never really notice...

An empty space on your wall...a few great ornaments..place them in a tree form and viola a great Christmas scape! Looks pretty easy!

Some Christmas Insipration

Wow...What not to love here!!The grey wall is fabulous,and the tree on a round table is so different.The bench is adorable!

How great for those that don't have space or don't feel like putting up a tree... cough hint you know who you are!

Wow....I think this would be a great gift to have under my Christmas tree...isn't this just darling...I think I want her red patten bike shoes as well...ha!

Eddie Ross's Fabulous Wreath

OK...So clearly I am having a thing with making wreaths first the book wreath and now the ornament wreath...which in itself is hilarous...b/c I am about as crafty as a Nat!But there is something so appealing to me about making this wreath...it is just a coat hanger, a glue gun,and some Christmas balls...honestly doesn't that sound breezy easy...This weekend I am going to try a tackle this..by myself...I know if I invite a friend to do this with me..hers will always turn out better then mine...oh.. and I know she is reading this...and I know she knows who I am talking about..This great girlfriend of mine can do anything...Once at a craft seminar ..her boxwood topiary was so exceptional that the lady held it up for all the ladies to awe over...and was true perfection she is insanely talented and she has a birthday this weekend.Maybe I will surprise her with one of these beauties for her birthday...hmmm something to think about!

Another Fabulous Christmas tree...I think putting it on a silver tray with Christmas ornament's is to die for!The urn is pretty swanky as well!

A Little Touch of Blue

I love the traditional colors of Christmas...but I am adoring the hint of blue in these pictures..

Also did you notice the Christmas tree in the first picture...hello champagne bucket...my mom has a few of these...I am going to have to put a wee tree in her entrance and do it just like this one ...I bet she would love this color blue as well...off to find robin egg blue ornaments!

Oh Joy!!

It's Christmas time in the city!!..

It has been that kind of weekend...Christmas tree is up, outside is decorated, Chestnuts where roasted and eaten yum ,Cards done and addressed, cakes baked..and we managed to take in the Santa Claus Parade...Which always pulls at my heart strings...I get weepy...I think b/c it is just so wholesome...and CeCe has such joy and astonishment in her eyes ..it is so small town but it is so so good for your soul...I will post some pics later...

I also wanted to Thank every one that popped into the store this week..it was just delightful to see you all and get caught up....Gosh I love this season...let the Christmas Madness begin!

Fabulous Book Wreaths

I am insanely happy over these" Book Wreaths"...seriously it makes me want to run to my library room and start tearing out pages of all my books...this looks rather easy...but something tells me...that once I start this it may not be the case...oh but what odds...I am going to give it a whirl..."War and Peace watch out...I have got some practicing to do!.Happy Friday all.. Hope you are embracing the Christmas season...b/c for me it officially starts this weekend!!
