Labour Day at Lake Rushford

This is a picture of my nephew Jake, and my niece Elle ,they came up to the cottage for the

long weekend.

Of Course we had to dress the girls alike..CeCe was thrilled as she was calling Ellie her sister.

This is en route to the Labor Day festival

They could not believe their eyes when they turned the corner and saw the Ferris wheel!!



Just pure joy......

They ran as fast as they could to get a ride on the Ferris wheel.....note Tony's shadow with my purse...what a guy!

Here they go ...they loved every second...I thought for sure we would have had to stop it to let one of them off...but that was not the case...boy those Ventresca's are brave.

Happy Labour Day

Well the long weekend is here...My brother is up from Newfoundland.

My husband took CeCe to the cottage with John and family in tow.I will join tomorrow.

My sister in law Erin just had her last day at work(she has been with the same company for 91/2 years) and she is going to be a great entrepreneur.

My best friend Kelly and I managed to carve out a few great hours over Chai Lattes.

My friend Keith lost at least 15 pounds in 2 weeks! Yeah Keith!

Tony and I had a date night last night with Mel and Dave...many a great laughs there.

What a great way to start September and the long weekend... and best of all the weather is going to be sunny and fabby till at least Tuesday!

Oh.. mom and I kicked the boy's all over the scrabble board this evening...

Sleeping beauty!

I have noticed all sorts ...of things in this bird cage ,crackers , hair ribbons, little treasures of all sorts .. this is CeCe's pet! She cracks me up...

These are CeCe's beds..that I mention a while back in my blog. I bought them from Alice's Antiques on Lake and James street in St.Catharines. This is where "bird"aka CeCe sleeps! I switched around the wallpaper so to speak...they where meant to be hung vertical...but I thought horizontal would be much better...Gosh they grow up so quickly!

I call this the snake eye...

Anyways...Can you notice CeCe......

See how both her eyes are turned to the left (I call these shifty eyes, snake eyes)...and see that silly grin...

Well ,that always tells me she is up to something...and it is honestly never really great stuff...

OK ..please tell me where did the summer... that never came... go?

How is it possible today is September? Oh well ,crack open the craft idea ...and none more fitting then this darling gift wrapped in oak leaves and faux bois mac tac! I love every element about this gift... the brown craft paper, the oak leaves, and the brown string...perfect don't you think!

My True Loves....

My Sister in Law Erin posted these pictures on her facebook...I am forever grateful .. She always seems to have a camera at the most perfect moments...with out her documenting our family I would have very few pictures of these two..sad ...I know...but I never think of just grabbing the camera and snapping.

These two people here are my true loves...I love every single thing about them.. Even when when the times are really good and when the times are really down right rotten. I loved this Lazy Sunday afternoon.... great memories..Thank you Erin you made my night!
